This year, 200 exhibitors representing companies from 13 countries visited the 19th edition of the international mining, energy and metallurgy trade fair, which took place from 6 to 9 September 2022 in Katowice. Exhibitors from the USA or India also appeared for the first time. The entire 10,000 square meters of exhibition space was “sold”. There were a number of accompanying events and interesting industry conferences.
The large participation in this fair is the merit of the exhibiting companies, who endured this difficult time and decided to participate. ZDB Dratovna presented itself again this year at the official stand of companies from the Czech Republic, under the auspices of the CDT association. Companies such as Ostroj, Ferrit, Hansen Electric and others belong to this association.
“Although it might seem that we are a bit hidden at this event, this is not the case. We have been exhibiting under the auspices of the association for several years and this model is very well known to our customers. They come to our stand so-called “to be sure”, pointed out the Sales manager of Steel Ropes, Jiri Foltyn.
This year was no different, and our exhibition was a place for a number of meetings, discussions and negotiations with receiving specialists, buyers, technicians from the coal mines, as well as a place for establishing business contacts and cooperation between companies at various levels. Visitors could even touch our ropes, thanks to samples specially made for this purpose.
In conclusion we can say that this year’s edition took place at a special historical and geopolitical moment. The environment of mining, energy and metallurgy faces a real challenge, which is to ensure the energy independence of European countries. The fair was thus an ideal place to start a debate about the future, but also the present, of mining in Poland and Europe, and thus the search for interesting solutions to the expected crisis. Tens of thousands of visitors to this fair event, the interest of the media from the country and the world, all this is proof that the fair was a success.
